Full Body Waxing
Frequently Asked Questions
Will it hurt?
Well, the simple answer is yes, body waxing can be an uncomfortable process. However, a skilled professional can make all the difference in the world! If you are very nervous, taking 2 ibuprofen roughly half an hour before your scheduled appointment time can help.
How long does my hair need to be?
Different areas of the body grow at different rates! For bikini or Brazilian waxing 10-14 days is best, legs usually require 2 weeks of growth, and, Under arms are only about 5 days, while eyebrows will need waxed when ever their appearance starts bothering you.
Will waxing make my hair come back darker or thicker?
NO! Waxing, in fact, has the opposite effect! Every time you get waxed, you are removing hair by the follicle or “root” this creates damage to the follicle, and weakens it! A damaged follicle produces a thinner, finer, lighter colored hair.
Over time, waxing can stop hair growth by completely destroying the follicle. Consider this, if you never gave your teenage daughter a razor, and instead, brought her in once a month for a wax, by the time she was in her mid 20’s, she would barely grow any hair at all! Don’t we wish our mothers had known.
Is waxing safe during pregnancy?
YES, Waxing is considered safe during all stages of pregnancy. Once you can’t see what is going on down there ladies, its time to schedule that wax.
How do I take care of my wax?
Regular exfoliation is the key to taking care of your skin, after a waxing appointment. I recommend using the scrub a minimum of 2-3 times a week in the shower to keep ingrown hairs at bay.
